Sherdia A. Francis

Sherdia A. Francis is a Law Clerk with the Law Offices of W. Scott Smith. Sherdia graduated from Georgia State University with her Bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law and a minor in Sociology. She then went on to attend Law School at Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina. During Law School, she was the President of the Black Law Student Association, a member of the Phi Alpha Delta, and Equality for Alliance. Sherdia was also a member of the James L. Petigru American Inn of Court, one of twelve students that was chosen to be invited into membership based on her demonstrated leadership, professionalism, public service, and academic commitment. She gained advocacy skills being a part of the Trial Advocacy Board, where she was also the Vice President of Faculty & Judge Relations. At graduation, she was acknowledged for providing over 100 Pro Bono hours to the Charleston community and was one of five out of the entire graduating class to be inducted into the Forensic Club; the Charleston School of Law selects a limited number of graduates to become members.
