Jury Duty for Peach State Lawyer

The Peach State Lawyers would like to wish our friend and fellow Peach State Lawyer Mike Jacobs well as he spends this week performing one of the most important of all civic duties: jury duty.

Article III, Section 2 of the Constitution of the United States states, “The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury.”  Thus, the right to a trial by jury in a criminal case is guaranteed by the Constitution.  The trial attorneys at W.  Scott Smith, P.C. could not do our jobs protecting the rights of our clients if the citizens of Georgia didn’t perform their civic duty and report to jury duty.

To all those who reported for jury duty today, tomorrow, and every day: THANK YOU!!!
